Best Paper Awards

EPFL faculty and students have won a number of best paper awards from prestigious conferences in recognition of the high quality and impact of their research.

Professor Jean-Yves Le Boudec’s LCA2 laboratory won the best paper award at the IEEE 11th World Conference on Factory Communication Systems (WCFS 2015) for their paper:

iPRP: Parallel Redundancy Protocol for IP Networks by Miroslav Popovic, Maaz Mohiuddin, Dan-Cristian Tomozei and Jean-Yves Le Boudec.

WFCS is the largest IEEE technical event specially dedicated to industrial communication systems. We presented our work on providing reliability for real time streaming applications (as found in smart grids).

Professor Jean-Pierre Hubaux’s LCA1 laboratory won the distinguished student paper award at the IEEE Security and Privacy Conference for their paper:

GenoGuard: Protecting Genomic Data Against Brute-Force Attacks, by Zhicong Huang (EPFL), Erman Ayday (Bilkent University), Jacques Fellay (EPFL), Jean-Pierre Hubaux (EPFL), Ari Juels (Jacobs Institute, Cornell Tech).

IEEE Security and Privacy is one of the best known and most prestigious security conferences.
