Live radio broadcast from Archizoom

On the occasion of the presentation of the future RTS building on the campus of the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, on May 12, the radio program "CQFD" on "RTS La Première" took place in live from Archizoom. Prof. Marilyne Andersen, Dean of the ENAC Faculty, Prof. Emmanuel Rey, Director of the Laboratory of Architecture and Sustainable Technologies (LAST) and Thomas Jusselme, eco-design engineer in the Smart Living Lab group, were invited to explain the main issues related to the integration of sustainability in architecture.

"CQFD" is a radio program dedicated to science and health. By inviting experts from different fields, it approaches contemporary topics, explains scientific discoveries and critically analyses technological and medical advances.

The live radio broadcast of May 12 was more specifically dedicated to issues inherent in sustainable architecture. The different lightings have helped to address particular issues induced by energy transition, researches led to optimize building materials and the evolution of architectural design towards an increased modularity.

The discussion showed that, far from standing in the way of architectural creativity, constraints related to sustainability can, instead, stimulate it. This potential of integration becomes especially clear if they are considered from the beginning of the project.
