Every year the School of Life Sciences holds a major international symposium on its campus. This year's edition, the LSS2013, will be organized by the Brain Mind Institute and will take place from August 28th - 30th on the EPFL campus.

The symposium will feature an international panel of outstanding invited speakers, short talks selected from abstracts, posters presented by participants and presentation of an international scientific prize (the Debiopharm Life Science Awards), and a conference buffet dinner with all participants. We aim for a highly interactive meeting with intense discussion of the latest frontiers in motor control research.

The program includes sessions on:

  • motoneurons and spinal cord circuits
  • motor cortex
  • motor planning and action selection
  • basal ganglia & Parkinson's disease
  • neuroprosthetics & brain machine interfaces

Early Registration and Abstract Submission Deadline: June 1st, 2013

Registration closes on July 1, 2013
