Morphotonix -- Creating colors without additives

Morphotonix is one of the four winners of venture kick’s first stage. They won CHF 10’000. – of pre-seed capital. Venture kick will allow them to expand their project and compete for CHF 20'000.- next stage.
Morphotonix is an EPFL-born start-up currently hosted by LMIS1. The project is currently supported by Innogrant from EPFL and is developing prototypes with industrial partners. The unique technological platform created by Morphotonix is compatible with industrial mouldings (such as chocolate and plastics) to customise 3D moulded products with holographic-like effects without any additives. These effects originate from the way light interacts with material surface with roughness controlled at the micrometer-scale and are used for brand recognition or as security features.
