Prof. Malamud member of the Finance Theory Group

Professor Semyon Malamud (SFI@EPFL) has been elected to be a member of the Finance Theory Group, the aim of which is to foster theoretical research in the areas of corporate finance, financial institutions, and financial markets. Since the election process is highly competitive, it is a great recognition of the Semyon Malamud's research.

This group is a non-profit international organization of theorists working in all areas of finance. It organizes meetings (conferences) two times a year, that are considered to be among the most important conferences in finance theory. For each meeting, only 5 papers are selected, from the pool of papers submitted by all (more than a 100) members. Semyon Malamud 's paper "Decentralized Exchange" (joint with Marzena Rostek) has been selected for presentation at the next meeting, to be held in Columbia University (New York) on October 5, 2013.
