Multiple and broad beat notes, which have been a severe limitation in microresonator based frequency combs, are explained by the formation dynamics of the comb itself.
Multiple and broad beat notes, which have been a severe limitation in microresonator based frequency combs, are explained by the formation dynamics of the comb itself. This insight also elucidates a number of yet-unexplained observations in microresonator based combs, and serves as a basis for the design of low noise comb generators.
