Strong Swiss impact at IROS'2012

Switzerland received much attention at IROS’12 (IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems) this past October in Villamoura, Portugal. Indeed, 14 NCCR Robotics labs presented 34 papers (of which, two won Best Papers Awards - Application and Student).

This strong academic presence was coupled with and reinforced by an NCCR Robotics initiative aiming to encourage and promote the participation of Swiss startups and spin-offs . As part of this initiative, nearly a third of the total number of exhibitors at IROS'12 were from Switzerland and present under the same umbrella: "Swiss Robotics".

NCCR Robotics plans to renew this "Swiss Robotics presence" initiative during further editions of IROS and ICRA conferences and we are looking to enlarge the number of participants. If your startup in robotics would like to join, please contact our Tech Transfer Officer for further information.
