Winners of IEEE SB Poster Contest will participate to BioCAS 2014
Two students will participate to the BioCAS 2014 Conference, as an award for winning the Poster Contest organized by EPFL IEEE Student Branch last week. The presentation of all the five posters participating took place on Monday, 13 October 2014, in presence of other EPFL students and members of the association.
Five students participated presenting their Master projects:
1. Sylvain Bernard: ‘Plasmon-enhanced fluorescence for improved detection in micro- and nanofluidic devices’
2. Nicolas Vachicouras; ‘New Generation Neuroprosthesis for the Electrical Stimulation of the Auditory Brainstem’
3. Gopalan Hariharan Krishnamani: ‘An Automated Microfluidic Platform for Reversible Immobilization and Imaging of C.Elegans’
4. Jannick Wilhelm: ‘Development of an Impedance Flow Cytometer Using 3D-Microelectrodes to Differentiate Cells’
5. Anahita Talebi Amiri: ‘Numerical simulation of power systems for real-time simulation applications’
Gopalan Hariharan Krishnamani got the first position, and Nicolas vachicouras won the second place, both of them winning a free participation to the BioCAS 2014 conference.
IEEE Student branch kindly thanks the reviewers for their help in selecting the posters and to the BioCAS organizers and IEEE for sponsoring the event and the conference participation. A big thank you also to all the students who participated to the contest and to the poster presentation!
