Dr. Anastasios P. Vassilopoulos, Ms Aida Cameselle Molares, Mr Abdolvahid Movahedirad attended the 18th European Conference on Composite Materials, between 24-28 June 2018 in Athens Greece, http://www.eccm18.org/).
Dr. Anastasios P. Vassilopoulos (member of the conference scientific committee) chaired several conference sessions (on Fatigue of composites and sandwich structures) and participated in the activities of the European Society of Composite Materials (ESCM) council. He has been re-elected as a council member of the society for another four years.
Ms. Aida Cameselle Molares presented the innovative experimental work and the modeling of the 2-dimensional fracture of composite laminates, and Mr. Abdolvahid Mavahedirad presented his last results on the effects of interrupted fatigue loading on the behavior of angle ply composite laminates. Both works performed in the frame of the NSF funded research project “Progressive fatigue damage modeling of fiber-reinforced polymer structural assemblies” (NSF Project 200021_156647).
