Sonia Yanes Armas completed her PhD Thesis focusing on the effects of local failure mechanisms and time on load-bearing behavior of fiber-reinforced polymers web-core sandwich structures.
The PhD thesis entitled « Local structural effects in fiber-reinforced polymer web-core sandwich structures » was defended on July 14, 2017 in front of a jury composed of Thomas Keller and Julia de Castro (CCLab, thesis supervisors), Carlo Paulotto (Acciona, external examiner), Wendel Sebastian (Bristol University, external examiner), Eugen Brühwiler (MCS, internal examiner) and Katrin Beyer (EESD, jury president).
Accepted without reservation, the thesis was then presented to the public on September 22, 2017.
