Mathieu Salzmann discusses AI on SRF

Autonomous cars may soon be on our roads. What does it mean when computers are in charge of driving? Mathieu Salzmann, of the Computer Vision Laboratory led by Professor Pascal Fua, discusses an algorithm which aims to automatically detect and segment all instances of several types of objects such as cars, bicycles or even people in images to improve the management of dangerous situations on the roads by computers.
