Based on the virtuoso duet "Metal Work", wrote by Finnish composer Magnus Lindberg for 1 accordion and 52 percussions, the project Metalliseos (From Finnish word for "alloy") takes place in the main hall of the SG building during a lunch time.

To simplify the organisation of the original work that requires 52 percussions, the musical ensemble Too hot to hoot? ordered 3 new pieces to young swiss and american composers, asking to use solely percussion instruments from the original set. Each in a very different register, these pieces of music mirror Magnus Lindberg’s works in their own way.

Not only this project promotes the music of these talented young composers, but also extend and develop the repertoire for percussion and accordion, which is today limited.
