New Nissan LEAF meets growing demand for EVs!
The New Nissan LEAF, a fully electrical vehicle, is available for pre-ordering since last December and will be shipped in the second half of 2011.
The LEAF is Nissan's new green car with a 100% electric engine (Z.E.V. - Zero Emission Vehicle). You can drive up to 160 km with a fully recharged battery and reach the 140 km/h. The Nissan's engine is a high response 80kW AC synchronous electric motor with a 24 kWh lithium-ion battery.
The price of this Japanese car will start at 49'950 CHF for the swiss market. The battery is included and guaranteed for five years or 100'000 km. The swiss customer is able to pre-order the LEAF for an expected delivery in the second semester of this year. Actually, 27'000 vehicles are already pre-ordered in the US and in Japan and the shipping for this two countries has already started.
