Rachid Guerraoui appointed Digital Chair by Collège de France

IC Professor Rachid Guerraoui has been elected as the “Chair in Informatics and Computational Science ” 2018-2019 by Collège de France for Distributed Computing.

This highly prestigious annual appointment was created to emphasize the importance of this scientific discipline by Collège de France in partnership with Inria - the French National Institute for computer science and applied mathematics.

Prof. Guerraoui will join a highly selective group of professors having held this position in the past such as Gérard Berry, Yann Lecun, Serge Abiteboul, Martin Abadi, and Bernard Chazelle.

Established since the 16th century, the Collège de France is a public institution of higher education, dedicated to teaching and to leading fundamental research, organized in chairs that cover a wide range of disciplines from mathematics to medicine.
