Women and Science 2015 - Women are more underrepresented

In Switzerland, women are a minority in the field of science and research, particularly in academic careers. Only 18% of universities are headed by women. Their representation in public and private research also remains often below the European average.
Their situation is slowly improving, however according to data from the Federal Statistical Office (OFS) presented in the "She Figures 2015" report of the European Commission dealing with the place of women in science.
