The results of the abovementioned study were well received at the International Consortium of Educational Development (ICED). Ingrid Le Duc presented the results of the study done by CAPE and the CDH on students' readiness to work in inter-dicisciplinary groups.

The study measured students change in willingness towards inter-disciplinary group work before and after attending lectures and carrying out the group project in the Global Issues first year course. Results showed that students keep a positive and moderate attitude towards communicating with their peers. The results also showed a slight decrease of optimist to group work due to the difficulties to get organized. This study helped to make adjustments in order to help students get organised. The ICED conference took place in November 23-25 in Cape Town, South Africa and was hosted by HELTASA, the Higher Education Learning and Teaching Association of of Southern Africa.
