Bike to work kick-off

A sunny day for the Bike to Work kick-off yesterday ! All the registered teams were invited to a lunch and bikes demos to launch the Bike to Work campain. It 's still time to register !
EPFL has been inviting you to bike to work for 10 years. This year, UNIL is joining the effort and, together, CampusRoule will cycle during the whole month of May.
Cycling is good for the environment, as well as for your own physical and mental well-being. In 2014, 50,000 cyclists from 1,651 organizations covered close to 8 million kilometers and saved 1,248,360 kg CO2. Pedaling in the morning leads to less worrying!
How to register
Form you team and register it on www.biketowork.ch
• All employees and students can take part in the campaign
• One team is made of 4 people with one team leader
• Team leaders registers their team on the biketowork.ch website, in the EPFL category
• Those who do not find a team register with the coordinator who forms the teams
How it works
Then pedal away and regularly record your data on the calendar
a. Goal : That each participant rides his or hes bike at least every other day
b. One person in each team may walk or skate to EPFL
c. Of course, electric bikes are allowed !
d. Part of the trip can be covered by public transport
Don't forget to record the days you cycled to work and the kilometers covered on the online calendar (deadline : June 1 2015)
