“Mechanisms of Memory Consolidation, Reconsolidation and Extinction - and their Relevance to Psychiatry”

The symposium will take place on December 21 & 22, 2015. The venue will be the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), SV 1717a.

How do memories persist over time? How do they change? How do fearful memories from the past influence our daily lives and sometimes lead to memory disorders? How can we alter these memories?

The Brain Mind Institute - Agalma Foundation - NCCR SYNAPSY joint symposium on the “Mechanisms of Memory Consolidation, Reconsolidation and Extinction - and their Relevance to Psychiatry” will address these questions by providing the most recent insights from world-leading experts in both animal and human research in the field of memory research.

Common coffee breaks and lunches with the speakers plus a poster session with a happy hour open to all attendees will complement the scientific presentations and foster the exchange of research ideas.
