2 doctoral students from the doctoral school in Management of Technology took part in the event in St Petersburg in April.

Abhik Mukherjee (working for Prof. Luisa Lambertini) and Peter Vogel (working for Prof. Marc Gruber) both went successfully through the nomination process allowing them participate to the G20 Youth Summit that took place in Saint-Petersburg in April.

The G20 Youth Forum is a large international event organized for young leaders representating the 200 best Universities in the world and who are experts in international relations, economics, finance and law.

The purpose of this Conference is to discuss world global problems which are on the agenda of the G20, to establish an intercultural dialogue and to build business partnerships and friendships.

3 different sub-conferences were held in parallel:

  • G20 Youth Summit where young people "simulate" politics
  • G20 Young Parlamentarian's Debate where young politicians negotiate on several issues of concern
  • G20 Youth Conference where scientists present papers that are related to the topics of interest.

Roughly 900 participants (young leaders, students and academics, representatives of the business world and governments) from the 19 countries (+EU) took part in the event.

Peter Vogel, doctoral student in at the chair ENTC was invited to be on the opening panel on the future of education and the role of entrepreneurship to combat youth unemployment.
