Horizon 2020: Update of the Status of Switzerland from 2017 onward

The SERI recently communicated an update on the status of Switzerland in the H2020 programme: the clear intention of the Federal Council is the full association of Switzerland to Horizon 2020 from 2017 onward. This decision will depend on the ratification of the Croatia Protocol in due time (final adoption expected to be taken in December 2016).
In view of this expected full association, it is encouraged to apply for all calls for Horizon 2020 and Euratom:
- For submission of new proposals in the "Participant Portal", make sure to request the contribution as an associated country: in the section "Budget", the requested budget for the Swiss partner must be indicated in the column "Requested EU Contribution €". - For collaborative projects, make sure to set up consortium with at least 3 organisations from different EU Member States or Associated countries in addition to the Swiss partner.
- Swiss partners may also coordinate projects, whatever the status of Switzerland will be as of 2017.
