Jonas Gros goes to TAMU
Jonas Gros travels to Texas A&M University this summer as part of a collaborative study on the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill, together with the laboratories of Professors Scott Socolofsky (TAMU) and Christopher Reddy (WHOI).
In this collaborative effort, Jonas will simulate the state changes and dissolution kinetics of liquid hydrocarbons into the water column during the Deepwater Horizon 2010 oil spill. This will broadly expand current modeling efforts, with the aim of better understanding the processes controlling pollutant transport and resulting ecological exposures during a deep water oil spill.
