Learning to face real-life problems in managing team projects

A series of short video clips has been developed to support EPFL students in learning to work in and manage project teams.
A series of new French-language video resources designed to help students to manage project teams has been developped by the Teaching Support Centre in collaboration with the Center for Digital Education.
The 11 videos and additional resources respond to real questions and difficulties identified by EPFL students carrying out group projects in the last year. Over 1,000 students provided information on challenges they faced in doing group projects through questionnaires. A number of students were also interviewed and participated in the filming of the videos. In each 2 or 3 minute video an experienced team manager or academic responds to questions posed by students and provides some ideas to adress the challenges identified.
These videos can be accessed by all students and teachers through the weblink. They are also integrated into the first year Global Issues course.
