Promoted by Sheryl Sandberg and Anna Maria Chàvez, respectively the COO of Facebook and the CEO of Girl Scouts, this initiative is aimed to ban the word “bossy” from the everyday language, especially when it is used to describe the attitude of women in charge for high responsibility tasks.
The banbossy.com site offers a long series of tips and tutorial videos in order to coach girls, parents, teachers and managers in everyday challenges. Girls are particularly encouraged to lead and to trust in their capabilities.
