Bilge Atasoy appointed professor at TU Delft

Dr. Bilge Atasoy, who finished her PhD in the Transport and Mobility Laboratory in 2013, has been appointed Assitant Professor in the Maritime and Transport Technology department of the Technical University of Delft, the Netherlands.

Bilge finished her PhD at EPFL, in the Transport and Mobility Laboratory (TRANSP-OR), in November 2013. Her thesis entitled " Integrated supply-demand models for the optimization of flexible transportation systems" was supervised by Michel Bierlaire and Matteo Salani.

Since December 2013, she has been working, first as a postdoc and then as a research scientist at the MIT Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Laboratory.

Her research is on the integration of behavioral models with optimization models, as well as real-time optimization of smart mobility solutions. 

In March 2018, she will join as an Assistant Professor the Transportation Engineering and Logistics Section of the Department of Maritime and Transport Technology, within the School of Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering of the Technical University of Delft.
