Campus, a how-to guide

Commuting, study halls, help services, campus stores: some helpful pointers to start your year off on the right foot.

In the Student Guide, you can find all sorts of information about daily life on campus: coaching and support classes, aid services, restaurants, apprentices, eco-transport, computer resources, housing, information and counseling about the region. As well as information about academic life: schedules, courses, procedures, rules, deadlines, etc. Under the heading “Student Services,” you can find all the practical information: important contacts, dates, and even some short videos explaining how to register for classes or print an attestation.

A real, and not virtual, office is found at the entry of the BP building. A helping hand is offered from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 6 pm.

AGEpoly is the EPFL student association. It represents the university students, protects their general interest, furnishes information and consults its members about decisions taken by the school directors. It is also at the heart of many of the fun things to do throughout the year by organizing events (sport outings, festivals, meetings). It also provides a series of student services that improve and facilitate life on campus.

Recently moved to the Rolex Learning Center, the library is open to the public. There are 860 individual study stations, ten closed group-work rooms and twenty open-access computers. The building is open every day, including weekends, from 7 am to Midnight. The welcome desk, for the reservation of work rooms for example, is open from 8 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday and from 10 am to 6 pm on the weekends. The library help desk is open from 7 am to Midnight everyday and a trained librarian is available from 8 am to 8 pm. For questions please write to [email protected] or 021 693 21 56

The campus has 18 restaurants and places to buy you breakfast, lunch or dinner as well as several stands. It is possible to pay with your Camipro card that functions like a debit card that you can charge at several stations on campus.
