Coaching to help you settle in

Coaching also aims to facilitate social integration through tea parties, suppers and outings enabling 1st year students to meet their seniors outside the study environment. These events help students to bond and possibly find friends or form working groups.

The coaching.epfl.ch website provides a host of links and information about student life, from course information to event photographs, as well as contacts for coaches and fun pages.

Finally, some students may find the gap between school and the start of university life disconcerting. Coaches provide a friendly ear.

On top of the list of key coaching events you will find the Welcome Party – don’t forget to register! This is organised as part of the Welcome Day on the Friday before the start of the new academic year. The evening includes competitions between various teams of new students, followed by a meal for all 900 participants and coaches, and finally a clubbing night in Lausanne.

New coaches welcome! Coach training evenings are fast approaching, with the election of super-coaches for each programme and group leaders. If you enjoyed the help of your coaches when you first started, do volunteer and get involved!
