Martijn Stam wins the Best Paper Award at the IACR workshop
Dr. Martijn Stam, Research Associate in Arjen Lenstra’s laboratory, received the Best Paper Award for his study on “Blockcipher based hashing revisited”.
This award was given at the 16th International Workshop on Fast Software Encryption, held in Leuven current February. Martijn’s research provides deeper insights in methods to develop efficient cryptographic hash functions based on symmetric encryption primitives. The outcome of his study will be useful in the analysis of candidates for selecting a new hash function for The National Institute of Standards and Technology, USA’s standardization body.
