This architectural research and building project was undertaken by the students and collaborators of the "Digital Design and Production" course. The goal of the project was to experiment with digital production tools in the creation of a “mini-cinema” for the Centre D'Art Neuchâtel (CAN) at the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF).

The pavilion's spiraling folded walls were designed using parametric programming to allow for fast production using the EPFL's computer-controlled fabrication machines. The material for the pavilion was provided by Alcan Composites, who encouraged the designers to play with their full range of colors and materials. Students then moved to Neuchâtel for one week to assemble and build the pavilion. The pavilion can be disassembled and will be used for future NIFFF events. The overall design was a collaboration between participants in the course, Localarchitecture, CAN, NIFFF and LAPA.
